Peculiar tattoos of Hollywood celebrities

We are used to seeing celebrities in shocking poses and instances and when it comes to style, there is little that surprises the public as far as Hollywood is concerned. Tattoos have always been a great way of expressing tendencies, feelings and affiliations and celebrities have always used this form of art to impress or stand out. While many tattoo designs are greatly admired, envied or copied by countless fans, there are also some celebrity tattoos that are less understood, being considered even peculiar. The first that comes to mind is Miley Cyrus’ arm tattoo, which depicts the face of her grandmother. It’s not so peculiar that the artist tries to show love for her family, but the place and size of the tattoo, which taken up the entire forearm, are the ones that strike as a little odd. The art was created by Kat Von D, a reputable inkster in LA.

Sarah Harding is closing in as well with a very strange tattoo, not in terms of shape or size, although it does occupy her entire upper back, but in terms of message. The Girls Aloud singer proudly presented her huge tattoo at The Pride of Britain Awards, a written slogan framed by two Phoenix wings, one on each shoulder. The text says “Don’t be bitter – glitter”, which is yet to be understood by fans or even the general public. It also appears pretty contradictory with the looks of the tall blonde, who always gave away a certain air of subtlety. Finesse is something one would expect from celebrity ladies and something we all think about when models are getting tattoos, but Cara Delevingne makes us stand corrected. She had the Bang Bang NYC ink a lion on her index finger, as a representation of her star sign Leo. It’s not subtle at all, nor does it scream finesse, although there’s nothing you can reproach to the tattoo designers. They are the same artists who did Rita Ora’s bird on the back of her neck, which is a very cute design.

However strange the above mentioned designs an choices may sound, nothing can beat the latest addition to Louis Tomlinson’s gallery. The One Direction singer got a teacup and saucer, which, although it’s an homage to the song “Little Things”, is downright peculiar. Whether ladies or gents, Hollywood starts seem to be racing who’s got the craziest tattoo or tattoos, although they might think the race is about the most original ones. I don’t know what happened with the idea of tattoos being personal and meaning something, while also being subtle and only for treasured eyes to see.
